The aim is to combat loneliness and promote both mental and physical health amongst seniors by providing a supportive environment for social,physical and skills interactions, fostering a sense of community and well-being among the elderly.

To create a vibrant and inclusive space at Fleurhof Pensioners Sports Centre where seniors can thrive,connecting through social interactions and physical activities like fun walks,soccer ,netball, various stretching exercises and other ball sports, as well as stimulating their minds with emotional upliftment and fine motor skills development through beadwork ,art,craft sketching ,knitting including choir. Our ultimate goal is to establish a permanent home for the center, equipped with transportation services, to enhance accessibility and enrich the lives of our elderly community members.

WON THE TUG-OF-WAR AGAINST RIVERLEA
Fleurhof Pensioners Sports Centre members won the tug-of-war against Riverlea team. This was the proudest moment to us as we have proven that our practices didn't only go to vain but helped us win against our competitives
HEALTH DEPARTMENT WAS IMPRESSED WITH OUR CHECK-UP RESULTS
Department of Health professional care was impressed on one of the sport day we attended they were impressed with the check up result because of the physical exercises we do they keep up in good health.
FLEURHOF PENSIONERS SPORTS CENTRE: DEDICATION AND SERVICE WITH PROVEN IMPACT
Even if the body may slow down, the verve for life does not cease.A non-profit organisation (NPO) based at the Fleurhof Recreation Centre is giving the elderly members of the community an outlet for any pent-up boredom. Three days a week, Fleurhof Pensioners Sports Centre provides a host of activities that help the over-60s remain connected to the outside world through the bonds of friendship and regular fun.
HIKING WAS A SUCCESS
After having our breakfast we went for hiking, and one of our oldest senior was leading in our hiking which makes it more exciting and simply meaning age is just a number and does not determine one strength. This was a successful hike as no injuries occurred.

Nelson Mandela Day (18 July 2024 Time:11:00am) Description: A day dedicated to the legacy of Nelson Mandela, with activities and events that promote community service and social cohesion. We will take part in cleaning a nearest primary school in our community to partake in the Madiba Drive.
Heritage Day (24 September 2024 Time: 13:00pm) Description: A celebration of the cultural heritage of South Africa, with events and activities that promote cultural awareness and appreciation.
Holiday Closing Party (14 December 2024 Time:13:00pm) Description: A closing festive gathering to celebrate the holiday season and bring joy to the elderly community.

FLEURHOF PENSIONERS SPORTS CENTRE ON MANDELA DAY
On July 18, 2024, members of the Fleurhof Pensioners Sports Centre gathered at the Fleurhof Recreation Centre to commemorate Nelson Mandela Day through community service. Embracing the spirit of giving back, the pensioners organized a cleaning event, transforming the centre into a welcoming space for all.
With brooms, mops, and enthusiasm, they worked together, sharing stories and laughter as they scrubbed floors and tidied outdoor areas. “We’re honoring Madiba by making our community better,” said the Chairperson Mrs Dudu. Their efforts not only revitalized the centre but also fostered a sense of unity and pride among the participants, embodying Mandela's legacy of Mandela's legacy of service and compassion.
